Eva Champion

Eva Faye Moore Champion, 73, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at her home. Born January 16, 1949 in Muscogee, VA, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Moore and Kathryn Ocheessee Moore and was the wife of the late Robert Glenn Champion.

Eva was a former operator with BellSouth, then was with Beverage-Air for a number of years, then retired from Wal-Mart. She was of the Baptist faith.

Eva was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew her. She was a devoted Christian, wife and mother.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Glenn Champion (Linda) of Chesnee, SC and Jim Macom (Casey Moss) of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter, Michelle Macom of the home; her siblings, Jessie Moore of North Carolina and Maxine Sawyers of Surry County, NC; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2023 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannon’s Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Brother Fred Dover.

The family will accept flowers.
