Obituary

Frances “Eunice” Williams, 93, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 15, 1933, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Roland Atkins and Mollie Owens. Eunice was a dedicated and hardworking woman who worked for over 40 years at Prym Dritz before her retirement. She was a faithful member of Carolina Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Eunice found great joy in cooking and baking, specially making cakes to share with her neighbors. Her generous spirit was often expressed through the food, and she enjoyed bringing a little sweetness and happiness to those around her.

Eunice was the widow of Mack Jackson Williams, with whom she shared many years of marriage until his death in 1991. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

She is survived by her children: Merita Blackwell (Johnny) and Rick Williams; two grandchildren: April Williams, and Joel Raines (Marty); five great grandchildren, Hayden, Molly, Lael, Joseph, and Leo Raines; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Eunice was the last surviving of seven children, having been predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Carolina Baptist Church, 256 Floyd Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, with the Rev. Mark Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Private burial at Boling Springs Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Eunice.
