Emily Diane Coggins, loving wife to her late husband and a loving mother to her children, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of seventy-one.
Diane, as she was affectionately known, was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was a resident of Spartanburg at the time of her passing. She was the daughter of the late Joe Hyatt and the late Genell Marlin. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Rodney Patrick Coggins, her late husband.
Diane was a retired oral surgery insurance coordinator. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and having cookouts at their shop. She loved the beach and cherished the memories made with her loved ones and friends.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking as well, one of the family’s fondest memories is enjoying her famous pound cake. You could often find her working in her yard and tending to her flowers.
Left to cherish her witty personality and loving nature are her children: Jason Coggins, Brandy Murphree (Tim), and Tammy Landis (Curt).
Diane will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends. The family will be honoring her life with a celebration of life service on July 26th, 4 pm to 6 pm, at 4135 Clifton Glendale Rd., Spartanburg.
The arrangements are trusted to the care of Floyd Greenlawn Chapel.
