Elmer Poole

Elmer "Jay" Poole, 59, of Florence, passed away on December 14, 2022.

Jay was born in Spartanburg, SC a son of Donnie K. Mathis Poole and the late Elmer J.C. Poole and was a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA. He worked in the funeral business for over 35 years and helped families all over the state of South Carolina. Jay will always be remembered for his wit, kindness, and compassion. He was a friend to all.

Surviving are his wife, Julia Sanders Poole; his beloved pets, dog, Molly and cat, Itty Bitty.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
