Elizabeth "Lib" Hill

Elizabeth “Lib” Marie Davis Hill, 98, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Ashlan Village in Lyman.  Born July 25, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Luther G. Davis and Rosa Lee Pearson Davis and wife of the late John Wofford Hill, Jr.

She is survived by her two sons, John Wofford Hill III and wife Sharon and Barry Eugene Hill and wife Jeanie (Velma E.), all of Spartanburg; grandchildren, John Wofford Hill IV (Sarah) of Wasilla, Alaska, Jessica Hill Cook (Ed) of Palmer, Alaska, Joseph Eugene Hill (Lisa) of Clover, Elizabeth Hill Joye (Russell) of Spartanburg, Meredith Byers Gergley (Todd) of Lyman and Kristen Byers McLean (Hector) of Greenville; 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two grandchildren, a brother, Luther G. Davis, Jr. and a sister Mattie Lee Powers.

Lib was a member of The Church at the Mill, and a former member of Park Hills Baptist Church.  She loved to travel, gardening and spend time with her family.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 1, 2023, 4:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted The Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton.  Visitation will be at the graveside.
