Elizabeth Scales

Elizabeth Wauters Scales passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 26, 2009, following a long period of declining health. A devoted mother and grandmother, Betty will be greatly missed. She was the widow of James Herbert Scales and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Michael Baird of Spartanburg; her granddaughter and her husband, Ashley and Ryan Richards of Naples, FL; and her grandson and his wife, Evan and Chellis Baird of New York City, NY. Betty is also survived by four sisters, Anne Wisniewski, Claire Crotty, Marilyn Romano, and Barbara Luckenbach, and their families. Private family services will be conducted for the family. The family is at the home of Eileen and Michael Baird, 222 Bruton Place, Spartanburg, SC 29302. A special thank you to caregivers, Ann Brown, Miranda Jeffries, and A. J. Kimbrell.
