Elizabeth "Lib" Moore Lazenby

In loving memory of Elizabeth "Lib" Moore Lazenby, 81, who passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on July 20, 2024, to be with her beloved husband of 52 years, David Lazenby. 

Lib was born on September 22, 1942, to the late Frank and Sallie Moore. The youngest of three sisters, she was predeceased in death by Francis Moore Gossett and Katherine Moore Johnson. Lib worked for the Spartanburg Herald Journal and had many happy years there. She also loved needle point and painting.

Lib leaves behind three nieces, Lynn Gossett Secrest (Ned), Janice Higginbotham (Charlie) and Lisa R. Shehan (Rick); and her sister-in-law, Jennie Padgett. She also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Southside Baptist Church, 316 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306 or the animal rescue of your choice, in honor of Lib's love for her church home and her animals.

May Lib rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
