Elizabeth Herndon

Elizabeth Wood Herndon, 89, of Moore, SC, died Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill, SC. Born May 28, 1933 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of Joe W. and Rosa Lee Thomas Wood and the wife of the late Scott Herndon.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and very active in her church.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved by all.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Elizabeth Grenga (Kel) of Charlotte, NC and Sharon Ruth Herndon Miller (Mark) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, John Kelly Grenga III (Catherine), Gloria Elizabeth Grenga, both of Charlotte, NC, Sarah Elizabeth Grenga, Angelina Maria Steele (Tim), both of Chester, SC, and Carson Cameron Shocklee (Jamie) of Belize and Trevor Scott Shocklee (Mary) of John’s Creek, GA; Great grandchildren John, Talia, Elias and Myles Grenga, Breen and Arden King, and Ezra Shocklee.

Graveside Services will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
