Earle Burnett Nease, Jr., 71, of Spartanburg, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 16, 2025, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. Earle was born on November 6, 1953, in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late Edna Sue Roberts Nease and Earle Burnett Nease, Sr.

A graduate of Cowpens High School and Daniel Morgan Vocational Schools, Earle was a retired design engineer with Boiler Tube of America, with over twenty years of service. He was previously employed with Phillips 66, Amoco, and the Spartanburg County Planning Commission.

Earle loved the outdoors. He enjoyed playing sports and excelled playing tennis. He loved and appreciated all types of music, traveling, and was a true connoisseur of food. Earle was also a passionate fan of South Carolina Gamecock football.

Surviving is his loving wife of 27 years, Brenda Curtis Nease; his daughter, Angela Huff (Eddie) of Kimberling, MO; his son, Anthony Claar of Spartanburg; his grandchildren, Spencer Fiester, Wesley Fiester, Ashlan Fiester Richardson (Jared) and Alyssa Claar; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Augie, Grayson, Everett and Ember.

A memorial service to honor Earle’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
