Earle Kirkland

Earle Fletcher Kirkland, 70, husband of Rhonda Chapman Kirkland, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  Born March 6, 1952, he was a son of the late John Cyril and Virginia Sims Kirkland.

Mr. Kirkland was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, Montreat-Anderson College and Gardner-Webb University and was a pharmaceutical technician for 41 years with CVS/Omnicare.  He was a member of First Baptist Church-Spartanburg, serving on the Board of Deacons.  Earle was an avid University of South Carolina Gamecock fan.

Survivors, alongside his wife, are sons, William Kirkland of Moore, SC, and Jonathan Kirkland (Ashley) of Charleston, SC; sisters, Patty Kirkland Hardegree (Mike) of Columbus, NC and Janet Kirkland Dillard (Ken) of Spartanburg, SC; brother, John Cyril Kirkland Jr. (Patsy) of Inman, SC; father-in-law, Ernest E. Chapman of Spartanburg, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews that he adored.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.  Funeral services will be Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Spartanburg, 250 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and Rev. Dr. Ryan Pack.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
