E. W. Sprouse, 87, of Arcadia, SC, died Friday, April 17, 2020 at Magnolias of Gaffney. Born April 20, 1932 in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late William Earl and Gertrude Blanton Sprouse and the widower of Ina Ravan Sprouse of 61 years. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Sprouse retired after 33 years of service from Mayfair Mills. E. W. was a member of North Spartanburg Freewill Baptist Church. Known by his family and friends as Mr. Fixit, he loved to fix things for people, from a doorknob to a car. He loved spending time outdoors and working in his garden. Survivors include his daughter, Debra Goins (Rusty) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Gabriel Goins and Damon Ray Goins; great grandson, Daniel Goins; and great granddaughter, Cece Goins. He was also predeceased by two brothers, six sisters, and one sister-in-law. A graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastor Mitchel Edge.
