Donald Edward Wilson, 74, of Boiling Springs, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at his home. Born May 31, 1934, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late James Perrin and Bessie Tucker Wilson. He was retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Spartanburg after 40 years of service. He was a very active member of Grace Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Trustee, choir member, Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the Brotherhood. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and an avid softball player and coach. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mason Wilson; a son, James Mason Wilson and his wife Susan of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Kelly Wilson Martin of Spartanburg; a sister, Betty Laws of Boiling Springs; and five grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. Henry Johnson. The family is at the home of his son, 324 Trantham Court, Inman.
