Obituary

Donald “Randy” Steadman, 73, went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Born on February 8, 1953, Randy was the son of the late Donald and Tina Steadman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Steadman and his brother-in-law, Creswell Harley.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Donna B. Steadman of 48 years; his daughter, Brandi Phillips (Clay); his son, Mitchell Steadman (Srey Pov); his cherished grandchildren: Amelia, Madeline, and Cameron Phillips; his sisters: Dawn Bartlett Steadman and Sherry Harley; and his godchildren; and his beloved nieces and nephews, especially Evan Daniels.

Randy will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, quick wit, unfiltered sense of humor, his love of sports, carpentry, and spending time with family and friends. His generosity, loyalty, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Randy had a remarkable talent for working with his hands. Taught the art of carpentry by his beloved Papa Webb, he developed a lifelong passion for woodworking. Randy could build just about anything he set his mind to, whether crafting something for his home or lending a helping hand to family and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Family Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and encouragement they provided throughout Randy’s illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause Randy faithfully supported as a donor.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
