Donald Otho "Donnie" Rhodes

Donald Otho “Donnie” Rhodes, 73, of Boiling Springs, SC, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home surrounded by the love of his family. Donnie was born February 11, 1952, in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late Otho Rhodes and Mary Magdalene Morgan Rhodes Sexton.

Donnie was the owner and operator of Rhodes Brothers Body Shop. His specialty was repairing and restoring Corvettes. He was an outgoing and social individual who enjoyed the company of others. He was a Mason and a Shriner. Donnie was also a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf and watching a good football game.

Surviving are his daughters, Donna Jennifer “DJ” Brafford of Boiling Springs, SC and Jill Cothran (Matt) of Campobello, SC; his grandchildren, Taylar Taitague (Jacob), Gracyn Brafford, Ryleigh Brafford, Harrison Brafford, Bryson Cothran and Mattie Mae Cothran; his great-grandchildren, Benji, Sam, Micah and Amelia “Millie”; sisters, Sandy Sexton (Mike) and Robin Vaughn; and a brother, Alfred Rhodes. Along with his parents, Donnie was also predeceased by a brother, Tim Rhodes.

Donnie will be deeply missed and remembered for the great love he shared with family and the enthusiasm by which he lived. May he rest in eternal peace.
