Donald Finley

Donald Finley, age 62, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at home. Born in Spartanburg on November 9, 1960, he was a son of the late Gary Finley and the late Betty Lou Anderson.

A very athletic man, Donald was an avid tennis player, kayaker, and loved hunting. In his younger years he was a bodybuilder, and he played softball for over 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Wyatt Finley of the home; son, Shawn Finley (Kristen) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Shayna Finley of Kings Mountain, NC; granddaughter, Leighton Finley; sister, Ann Swank (David) of Gaffney, SC; nephew, Will Swank; and nieces, Sierra Swank and Tandy Greene. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, a Rottweiler named Diesel and a German Shepherd named Nala. Along with his parents, Donald was predeceased by a brother, Robert Finley.

The family will receive friends at the home of Shawn and Kristen.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. His funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. David Carter. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
