Donald Easler

July 20, 1931 — April 19, 2016

Donald "Taco" Garrison Easler, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born July 20, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Clarence Herring Easler and Nellie Williams Easler and husband of the late Nell Ruth Garrison Easler. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and graduate of Boiling Springs High School Class of 1949, Mr. Easler was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Whitney Masonic Lodge #264. He was formerly employed with Fluor Daniels as an electrician. Survivors include his sons, David Alan Easler (Joi) of Spartanburg, SC and Michael Dale Easler (Eileen) of Johns Island, SC; grandson, Daryl Alan Easler (Kelly) of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren, David Anderson Easler and Riley Scott Easler; and sisters, Velma Parks and Lanese Bryson, both of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Charles Vernon Easler and Clarence Ashley Easler. A graveside service, with military honors by Post #28, will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Donald O'Dell. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
