Donald Stanley Cathcart Sr.

Donald Stanley Cathcart, Sr. 82, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday June 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on November 20,1941 in Brevard, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Robert Paul Cathcart and Daisy Ella Livesay.

Don was retired from Security Finance Corporation as Vice President of Operations after 37 years. He was a member of The Mill Baptist Church. Don was a devoted husband and a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Survivors include his loving wife, Anita Caldwell Cathcart, their children Donald S. Cathcart, Jr. (Kim) of Spartanburg and Dean Alan Cathcart (Shannon) of Drayton, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother Melvin Cathcart and brother-in-law Charles Caldwell (Nancy), two nephews and two nieces. Along with his parents he was predeceased by two siblings, Evelyn Lucille Cathcart and Betty Faye Stephens and brother-in-law Dr. George Caldwell.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the care given by the employees of Gentiva Hospice who were so supportive during this sad time.
