Dolores "Dee" Inez Pruitt Sellars

Dolores “Dee” Inez Pruitt Sellars, 85, of Fairforest, South Carolina, Passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Dee, as she was affectionately known, was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the daughter of the late James Grady Pruitt and the late Maggie Esther Gilliam Pruitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Robert E Sellars; numerous brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Dee held her family close to her heart and was the matriarch of the family. She always made sure everyone was taken care of. Her house was always open to her family and when they entered, she always made them feel welcome. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her many memories are children: Deborah Eckman, David Pack, Wanda Juarez, and Danny Sellars; four sisters: Brenda Putman, Linda Lynch, Margaret Jennings, and Delphia Dennis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren that she loved dearly and cared for will cherish her memories.

The family will receive friends between 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The funeral service to honor Dee’s life will start at 11:00 AM following the visitation. The interment will follow the service in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, South Carolina.

Dee’s memories will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends.

The arrangements are entrusted into the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
