Deweyray Eugene Dimsdale, a friend to many, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, after a four-wheeler accident. Dewey, as he was affectionately known, was fifty-three years of age.
Dewey was born in Spartanburg. He was the son of the late Raymond Dewey Dimsdale Jr and the late Dorothy Spencer. He was a patriotic man that loved his country. He was a HAVAC Technician and enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed riding horses, four-wheelers, motorcycles. He also enjoyed deer hunting. He enjoyed a challenge and always wanted the excitement of riding a bull. Dewey had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite a jokester. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his many wonderful memories are his sister: Dorothy Dimsdale; a brother: Richard Dimsdale; a niece: Mitchelle Tracy (Tommy); one nephew: Stephen Dimsdale (Abigaile); and four great nieces: Destiny Dimsdale, Pam Tracy, Lele Tracy, and Raine Tracy.
A memorial service to honor Dewey’s life will be announced at a later date.
Dewey’s will continue to live in the hearts of everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.
The arrangements are trusted to the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
