Obituary

Dennis Wayne Sisk, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2026, in Spartanburg, his lifelong home. Born on August 11, 1948, in Spartanburg, he was the son to the late Isaac C. Sisk and Frances Evans Sisk. 

Dennis's career as an Aerospace Technician followed a distinguished military service. He served honorably in the United States Navy before retiring from the United States Army, embodying the values of hard work, dedication, and commitment. He was well-known for his loving nature, never meeting a stranger and always bringing light and joy to the lives of those around him.

A devoted member of Riverview Baptist Church, Dennis found strength in his faith, which guided him throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane R. Sisk; son, Trampas Sisk; stepson, Jeffery Hughes; grandson, Dwayne Hughes; granddaughter, Allison Hughes; and siblings, Debra McDowell, Donald Sisk, and Kathy Allison. Dennis is also survived by his adopted family; he loved like daughters, Juliana Ramirez, Hannah Farrell, Hailynn Jordan and grandchildren, Nova Jane Ramirez and Jose Juan Sanchez, Jr.

Dennis had a passion for Nascar and was an avid supporter of the Carolina Gamecocks, always looking forward to game days filled with excitement.

He was predeceased by his stepson, DeWayne Hughes, and siblings Myra Sisk, Herbert Sisk, and Martha Sisk. His life was one of service, laughter, and genuine connection, and he will be missed deeply by those who had the privilege to know him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2026, River View Baptist Church, 550 Old Greenville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Service will be conducted by the Rev. Tim Worthy.

As we remember Dennis Wayne Sisk, we celebrate the legacy of love and joy he created and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
