Deloris "Dee" Painter Pruitt

Deloris “Dee” Pruitt passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. She was born in Rutherford, NC to the late John Howard Painter and Francis Boone.

Dee had a gift for making any place feel like home. She was happiest in her kitchen or garden, where her love for cooking and gardening came to life.

Family was at the heart of everything Dee did, her warmth, laughter, and gentle guidance touched everyone she met. Dee was also deeply involved in her community.

Dee is survived by her son, Randy Blain and daughter, Kelli Clune; stepchildren: Donna Pruitt, Lynn Woody, and Ricky Pruitt; grandchildren: Ashley Brittain (Jason), Amy Absher (Cody), Joel Blain, Jeremy Blain, Amanda Polick, Jade Blain and Georgia Blain; great grandchildren: Layla Brittain, Brylan Brittain, Alli Toney, Charleigh Warren, Karma Blain, Kylee Blain and Logan Blain; daughter-in-law, Angela Blain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude “Toddy” Pruitt; son, Jerry Blain, and son-in-law, Bobby Woody.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will greet friends Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00-10:45 am at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Garden.
