Debbie Finch Gibson

Deborah “Debbie” Elaine Finch Gibson, 71, of Pacolet, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 30, 2025. Debbie was born June 18, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late Geraldine Green Finch and Hugh Edsel Finch.

In her working career, Debbie was a longtime billing coordinator in the healthcare industry. Debbie enjoyed a strong love of animals as evidenced by her wide variety of pets: rescue dogs, ferrets, squirrels, and birds, to name a few. She was a strong, independent lady who was unafraid to take on the challenges she faced head on with strength and solid determination.

Debbie is survived by her son, Jason Thomas Gibson; her granddaughter, Jayley Gibson; and her sister, Susan Finch Raines (Steve).

At Debbie’s request, there will be no formal funeral ceremonies. She is laid to rest, beside her adored mother, at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In remembrance of Debbie, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Gentiva Hospice, 101 N. Pine Street, #215, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
