David R. Henderson

David Richard Henderson died January 3, 2024 at 83 years old at Spartanburg Regional. He was born May 28, 1940 in Cherokee Springs, South Carolina. He was the son of the late David and Glynn Philbeck Henderson. 

David was a craftsman at heart. He spent many hours in his shop wearing a simple ball cap, T-shirt and jeans to perfect his favorite hobby of woodworking— a passion he shared with others throughout his life. He loved making intricate wood pieces for loved ones to keep in their homes. He loved spending time in the mountains at all times of the year and enjoying cheering on Gamecock football, NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves. 

He spent most of his life in Chester County where married Mildred Jones Henderson who he leaves behind. He also leaves behind a daughter, Helen Bennett, and a granddaughter, Jordan Bennett. Remaining surviving family include his brother, Don Henderson, sister-in-law, Frankie Henderson, and many nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Richard Bennett and grandson, Hank Bennett.
