David Curtis Baughn, 95, of Augusta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
David was born in Manville, Wyoming, the son of the late James Curtis Baughn and the late Marian Porter. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children: Maxine Hakalo Baughn; also, his late wife: Marguerite Jones Baughn; a sister: Tessie Marie Finley.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and care giver to both of his late wives. He took great pride in providing for his family and always placed everyone’s needs above his own. He had a very successful career with Colonial Pipeline and was a true “pipeliner” at heart. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish David’s many memories are his daughter and son-in-law: Frances and Eugene Gojda; his three sons and daughter-in-laws: Gary and Janice Baughn, Bobby and Jan Baughn, and Morey and Lauren Baughn; three stepchildren and their spouses: Jan and Malcom McClure, Judy and Kim Senn, and John and Cathy Jones; one sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Alan Barkley; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of David will be held at Floyd Greenlawn Chapel at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, with Malcom McClure officiating. Floyd Greenlawn Chapel is located at 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends following the service.
David’s memories will be treasured for years to come by his family and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Barclay House of Augusta and their staff for the professional care rendered to David during his final days.
