Darrell Addison, age 61, a local DJ and singer whose talents touched the lives of many, passed away on September 24, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC. He was born on May 23, 1964, in Spartanburg and the son of the late Bill Addison and Barbara Faye Lowe.
Throughout his life, Darrell was a person who never met a stranger, truly a gifted conversationalist. With a career spanning over 30 years, Darrell was known for his passion for music and entertaining people. He was celebrated not only for his musical talents but also for his warm personality. A great friend, he was always there for everyone, sharing laughter and kindness. Darrell was an avid fan of Clemson football, always cheering enthusiastically for his team on game days. His knowledge of the Bible was also a testament to his faith.
Darrell leaves behind his sister, Elaine Baker; his brother, Charles "Chuck" Edwards; and his nieces, Michelle Ganz (Adam) and Ashlie Humphries (BJ). His nephew, Rev. Jason Edwards (Elizabeth), along with several great nieces, one great nephew and his special friends, Darlene Hopkins (Danny). He is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Edwards, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family will receive friends from 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Floyds Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC, 29316, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM in the chapel. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jason Edwards.
