Dale A. Gilstrap, 76, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Dale was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Wesley Glenn Gilstrap and the late Vivian Roddy Gilstrap. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Galen Gilstrap and Elden Gilstrap; a sister: June Thomas.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years: Brenda Sanford Gilstrap; a son Todd Jolley; a daughter-in-law: Lori Revis. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He leaves behind his “granddog” that he loved very much: Glacier, a white lab; also, Emmy Lou, a family hound dog
Dale worked as a corrugated operator with Union Camp for forty years before retiring. Dale started playing the piano at the age of twelve and was very gifted in music. He played the piano at his church for many years. He was a member of Northgate Baptist Church in Lyman, South Carolina. In his spare time, he enjoyed putting together puzzles and spending time with his family and friends. To meet Dale was to love him. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family will receive friends between 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM following the visitation. Pastor Brian McCall will officiate the service. The burial will follow the service in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, SC.
Dale’s memory will continue to live in the hearts of his loved ones.
The arrangements are trusted to the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
