Connie Snipes, Jr., 77, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Connie was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina and a 1971 graduate of Wofford College. He was the son of the late Connie Snipes, Sr. and the late Anna Grace Boyd Snipes. He was also preceded in death by a sister: Edna Carol Kirksey.

Connie was an administrator with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He traveled extensively throughout the southern states during his career and always enjoyed the fellowship with his colleagues at the various conventions. In his spare time, you could find him at the beach or cheering on his favorite college football teams the Wofford Terriers or the Clemson Tigers. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Left to cherish his many memories are his son: Connie “Max” Snipes III; his grandson: Alexander “Alex” Thomas Snipes, Sr. (Chelsie Silver); a great grandson: Alexander Thomas Snipes, Jr.; three brothers: John Snipes (Kathy); Frank Snipes, and Perry Snipes.

A service to honor the life of Connie Snipes, Jr. will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the Heritage Chapel in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Kelly Kirksey will be officiating the service. The family will greet friends following the service. Connie will be entombed following the service in Heritage Chapel.

Connie will always be remembered by his family when they see the waves at a beach and when a touchdown is made by one of his favorite collegiate teams.

The services are trusted to the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
