Collie Wilson Knox, son of the late, Woodrow and Juanita Barnett Knox, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Barbara Bledsoe Knox and a loving father and grandfather.
As member of Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of Love Springs Church where he served faithfully in several different positions. His love of the outdoors fed into his talent of being a woodworker and he created and repaired many treasured pieces.
Collie’s 29-year career in the LCF Water District was a career where he made many friends and faithfully served the community around him.
He was well respected by everyone he met, and he never met a stranger. He was known for his willingness to serve others and never turned anyone away. Collie and Barbara took many trips together, and he loved his family beyond measure. As a loving provider for his family, the memories they hold dear will be all the ways they celebrated life together.
Left behind for now is his wife of 46 years, Barbara Bledsoe Knox, of the home, their daughter, Angela Hope Finkie (Tyler), and granddaughter, Brooklyn Rose Long, all of Bennington, NE, a brother, Kenneth Wayne Knox (Lynn), of Cooley Springs, half-brother, William (Gertrude) of Grover, NC, a special brother-in-law, Clifford Bledsoe, and several nieces and nephews.
Collie is preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Gibson, Sallie Campbell, and a half-sister, Louise Eng.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, followed by the visitation. Pastor Jeff Jones and Pastor John Cox will officiate.
