Clark Cox

Clark Cox, 91, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home. Born December 31, 1926, in Mitchell County, NC, he was the son of the late Millard and Grace Washburn Cox. A U. S. Marine veteran and member of Valley Falls Baptist Church, Mr. Cox loved to hunt and was owner/operator of Cox Trucking. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Alice Greenlee Cox; grandchildren, Matthew Cox and Kelly Cox; and great-granddaughter, Alexia Faith Cox. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Douglas Waits Cox. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 and 11:00-11:45 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Grassy Creek Baptist Church, 793 Old NC 226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the church, conducted by The Rev. Gene Self and The Rev. Alan G. Moor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
