Christopher Dew

Christopher Edward Dew, 62, of Simpsonville, SC died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born November 23, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan, he was the son of Dr. Ronald and Winfred Dunnavent Dew of Columbia, SC. Chris graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia, SC, and was a 1977 graduate of Wofford College, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He also earned a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. He was a senior sales associate in the Business Development Division of Blue Ridge Log Cabins. He was an avid golfer with four career holes-in-one and loved the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Ellison Dew and Chandler Dew, both of Atlanta, GA; his sisters, Laura Dew Smith and her husband, Chip of Spartanburg, SC; Beth Dew McMullan and Cam of Lewisville, NC; his brother, Scott Dew of James Island, SC; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Smith, Mills Smith (Hannah), and Parrish Smith, Emily McMullan and Becca Eure (Josh). A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 27, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 393 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by the Rev. Joanne R. Hull. Visitation will immediately follow the service until 6:00 PM at The Country Club of Spartanburg, 2500 Country Club Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
