Ocala, Florida

Charles David Quinn, 79, of Ocala, FL and lifelong resident of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Brandley Hospice House. Born August 24, 1944, in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Otto and Cora Fant Quinn. Charles was married to the late Frances A. Quinn.

 

Charles attended Temple Independent Methodist Church and Westgate Free Will Baptist Church. He received his bachelor’s degree from Limestone College, majoring in Computer Science.  A hard worker all his life, Charles worked for Draper Corporation, McLean Trucking and Borg Warner Chemical Company.

 

Surviving are his two sons, David Alan Quinn (Cathy) of Ocala, FL, and Eric Wayne Quinn of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Jesse Quinn, Katelyn Abbott and Emily Crummey; and three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Sailor and Jase.  Charles was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd Quinn.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.
