Cathie Childers Cheatham, passed away in Spartanburg, SC at the age of 74. Born in Spartanburg on July 20, 1949, to the late, Ray Leon Childers and Lillian Molene Lamm Childers. Cathie led a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends.
She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, Class of 1967. A member of various Bridge Clubs, Cathie found joy and camaraderie in the game. Cathie was a cherished life long member of First Baptist Spartanburg,
Cathie will always be remembered for her caring nature and unwavering support for those around her. Her presence left a lasting impact on all who knew her, She was always there to lend a helping hand and offer comfort to those in need.
Cathie leaves behind her daughter, Caroline Hood, and son-in-law Curtis of Spartanburg; granddaughter, Grace Hood of Spartanburg; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Cathie is predeceased by her husband, John I. Cheatham
The visitation will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM in Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with the Rev. Brian Redding officiating.

Cathie Childers Cheatham's legacy of kindness and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing she made a profound difference in the lives of many.
