Carolyn Smith

Carolyn J. Smith, 76, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at her home. Born December 20, 1939, in Saluda, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bessemer Scruggs Smith and Robert "Smitty" Smith and wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Smith. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Johnson of Mooresboro, NC, Harold Johnson of Boiling Springs, SC, Carroll Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Todd Smith of Boiling Springs, SC, Mark Smith of Woodruff, SC, and Tim Smith of Chesnee, SC; daughter, Trish Smith Raines of Campobello, SC; brother, Herbert Smith of Cookeville, TN and sister, Dianne Smith of Moore, SC. Carolyn was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM, on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Northbrook Baptist Church, with services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Benny Greene. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Northbrook Baptist Church, 1881 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at the home.
