Carole Taylor, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Carole was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 28, 1942. She was a daughter to the Late Jake and Louise Hastings.

Carole dedicated 38 years of her life to her career overseeing the payroll for all of School District 7, of Spartanburg. Outside of work, Carole had a passion for music and would often lend her beautiful alto voice to various musical endeavors. She was known as a true Southern Belle, enchanting those around her with her grace and charm.

One of Carole's favorite pastimes was attending sporting events at Dorman High School. Football held a special place in her heart, and she would eagerly cheer on the teams with unwavering support. The Olympics were another event that excited Carole, as she marveled at the skill and dedication of athletes from around the world. Her passion for all sporting events was an enjoyment that she shared with others.

Carole will be remembered for many things, but one of her proudest accomplishments was the loving care she provided to her husband and children. Her nurturing nature created a welcoming home where love flourished. She was also known for making the best banana pudding around; a treat that will always be associated with memories of Carole's warmth and hospitality.

Carole is survived by her devoted husband, Paul H. Taylor, who shared 63 wonderful years by her side. Her daughter, Lori Richner (Keith) will forever cherish the love and guidance she received from her mother. Carole's grandchildren, Lindsay Bogan, Taylor Bogan, Logan Bennett, and Chase Bishop will fondly remember her as a doting grandmother who showered them with affection and wisdom.

Carole had a close bond with her family. She leaves behind her brother Michael Hastings (Sally) and brother-in-law Donald A. Taylor (Cheryl). Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Alice Louise Hastings, her sister Lynn H. Fields, and her daughter Lisa T. Johnson.
