Carol was the daughter of the late Dr. Albert K. Leon and F. Evelyn Leon. She is survived by her husband of 57 years C. Edward Miller, Jr. and sister Joan E. Covington of St. Louis, Missouri. She will be deeply missed by her five children, C. Edward Miller, III (Joan), Amy Lynn Foschetti (Michael), Melissa Ann Greenlee (Chris), Christopher W. Miller (Anu), and Allison Leigh Thompson (Mike) and 14 grandchildren.
Carol was a 1964 graduate of Regina High School in Tacoma Park, Md, and attended the University of Maryland. Raising her five children was one of her greatest accomplishments. Carol had an active lifestyle running and biking. She was passionate about cooking and enjoyed doing so for others. She loved music and was a dance instructor for Jackie Sorenson dance company. Later, she worked as secretary for St. John’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, Virginia, and as an office staffer for multiple law firms.
Carol valiantly battled Alzheimer’s disease for ten years. The immediate family will hold a small memorial gathering on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 3pm at J.F. Floyd Mortuary Chapel, 4161 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be sent to St. Jude’s Research Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
