Carl Parker

Carl R. Parker, 78, died October 22, 2021, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.  Born March 16, 1943, in Stonewall, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Luther J. and Gracie Mae Schrimpsher Parker.

Mr. Parker was CEO and operator of CRP Tax Services LLC; of the Baptist faith, former member and teacher of the Men’s Sunday School Class at Northview Baptist Church.  He loved his Lord and his family; an avid hunter and fisherman; a selfless man who helped many in need.  As a student-athlete, Carl broke and held the record for the broad jump at Spartanburg High School for a number of years.  He was an Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Emma McCarter Parke,r and a daughter, Renee Parker Greenway of Spartanburg; grandchildren Bryan Barefoot (Jennifer) of Spartanburg, and  Parker Spangler of Columbia.  Great-grandchildren, Abigail and Lilli Barefoot of Spartanburg.  A brother, Steve Parker (Rita) of Boiling Springs.  Carl was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
