Bruce Eugene Collins, Jr., 43, of Spartanburg, died Monday, August 29, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born January 19, 1968, in Rocky Mount, NC. Bruce was a 1986 graduate of Dorman High School. He is survived by his wife, Angela Floyd Collins of the home; daughter, Kaleigh Ann Collins of Aiken, SC; mother, Jackie Brantley Gilmore (Jack) of Aiken, SC; father, Bruce Eugene Collins, Sr. (Mary Jo) of Burlington, NC; stepbrothers, Dr. John H. Gilmore, Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC and William L. Gilmore of Matthews-Mint Hill, NC; stepsister, Jennifer G. Thompson of Rocky Mount, NC; mother-in-law, Carolyn R. Floyd of Spartanburg; and father-in-law, Marvin L. Floyd (Joan) of Boiling Springs, SC. He is predeceased by a brother, Samuel Wayne Collins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Scott L. Floyd.
