Brenda Jean Coyle Hill, 60, passed away on August 15, 2025. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Brenda and Barnard "Bernie" O'Brien and the wife of Martin David Hill for over thirty-one years.
Jean was a loving lead caregiver with Home Helpers of Greer. She had her own restaurant, Hills Kitchen, where all the local fireman couldn't wait to eat her special "Hill Burger" and man did they eat!! That made her so proud! They would come to the restaurant and all the children were able to be a fireman. A longtime employee of Duncan Cafeteria where everyone loved to see her smiling face as she served them the delicious foods she had prepared with love. She was the star attraction with her sweet self. She was also a manager for Fatz Cafe where her smile brightened many lives. Jean was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church with a firm faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Survivors also include four sons, David Eugene Hill (Joni), Joseph Claude Hill (Hiram Wilson), Jeffery Donald Lowe (Chelsea) and Bradley Justin Lowe (Myra); a daughter, Leigh Ann Hill; her sister, Angela Laster; and five grandchildren, Kayley Rayne Hill, James Martin Crotts, Cayden Tucker Lowe, Everlee Theresa Grace Lowe and Harper Lynn Nicole Lowe.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Forrester officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 3 PM prior to the service. Interment will be held in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
