Brenda Goddard

Brenda Louise Perry Goddard, 76, of Inman, SC, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home. Born September 25, 1946 in Shelby, NC, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rosa Mae Miller Perry.

Brenda was retired as a secretary with Con Ed of NY after eight years of service. She was a member of Hope Church for over 20 years, where she volunteered. She was very vivacious, super outgoing, very happy and could talk to anyone.

Survivors include her husband, Simeon Elsmare Goddard of the home; children, Richard Darien Chiles of Greenville, SC, Simeon Jerel of New York, NY, and Ariele Nicole Goddard of Spartanburg, SC; and her brothers, Albert Perry of Atlanta, GA and Spencer Perry of Shelby, NC. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Johnny Perry and Cathy James.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2022 at Hope Church, 102 John Dodd Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., at the church, conducted by The Rev. Daniel Thrower. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
