Bobby Solesbee

Bobby Joe Solesbee, 73, of 190 Millwood Lane, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at his home. Born September 10, 1935, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late California Joe and Myrtle Walden Solesbee. He was a self-employed carpenter, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his faithful wife, Joyce Sawyer Solesbee; two sons, Bobby Joe Solesbee, Jr. and SFC Anthony Mark Solesbee, and two daughters, Lori Anne Solesbee and Sharon Denise Solesbee, all of Wellford; a brother, Marion F. Solesbee of Wellford; a sister, Jenny Bell of Spartanburg; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family is at the home.
