Our beloved father, Captain Blia Chu Lee, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 8:58 AM.
He is survived by his wife Nu Xiong, his four sons and (daughters-in-law): Pa Choua (Mai Yang), Waii (Deanna Gaffney), John (Mai Lor), and Joe (Kao Lo) as well as four daughters (sons-in-law): Kao (Barry Ely), Kelly (Brandon Wright), Pakhou, and Amy (Nick Burks).
He loved all 15 of his grandchildren fiercely: Crystal (Keng Xiong), Eric, Samantha, Stewart, Cypress, Natalie, Cassandra, Jackson, Sophie, Nathaniel, Isabelle, Lana, Marlee, Trey, and Wren.
Captain Blia Chu Lee faithfully and honorably served the Lao Army Section under the US CIA during the Vietnam war from 1965 – 1975.
He was well respected by all who knew him through his leadership, guidance, and wisdom. His presence impacted countless lives building lasting connections and continuing the teachings of the Hmong religion, tradition, and culture. His legacy lives on forever.
Although he is no longer with us, his spirit remains in our hearts and our memories forever. We will miss you, always.
