Beverly Smith

Beverly Gilmer Smith "Granny B", 81, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 11, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Cooper Gilmer and widow of Ernest Cecil Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and retired from Spartanburg District 7. She enjoyed playing piano at church and gardening. Survivors include her children, Kimberly Reilly of Boiling Springs, SC and Gerald Smith of Inman, SC; she was the loving grandmother to four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, August 24, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev Glenn Rusher. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, PO Box 4086, Spartanburg, SC 29305. The family is at their respective homes.
