April 1, 1933 — December 25, 2022

Betty Lorene Martin Sprouse Holland, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her home, like she wished. Born April 1, 1933 in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Farland H. and Jessie M. Harris Martin.

Betty was owner/operator of a salon. She loved her antiques and flowers; and gardening was an enjoyment. But most of all she loved her family and was like a Mom to her grandchild, Angie Enscoe.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Angela Enscoe (Shane) of Chesnee, SC and Ronnie Capps, II of Spartanburg, SC; great grandchildren, Brooke Cantrell (Jeffrey) of Spartanburg, SC, Kip Bagwell, Cooper Enscoe and Kinley Enscoe, all of Chesnee, SC; great grandchildren, Tanner Cantrell, Emory Cantrel, and Cali Cantrell; and sister, Doris Tate of Spartanburg, SC. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Ronald Capps, her husbands, James H. Sprouse and William D. Holland, and her brother, Leroy Martin.

Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. John Lee. Visitation to follow at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a homeless shelter of one’s choice or Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue, Spartanburg, SC, 29303.

The family would like to give special thanks to Nurse Susan Guy at Interim Healthcare and became like family to them.
