Betty Kiser

Betty Lou Doughty Kiser, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at her home. Born October 7, 1932, in Bonnie Blue, VA, she was the daughter of the late Reuben C. and Jennie Mae Lawson Doughty and widow of Billy Kiser. Mrs. Kiser was a member of Central Church of Christ and retired from Harley Bag. Survivors include her children, Kathie Whitten and Bruce Wayne Kiser, both of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Johnny Doughty of Rockwood, TN. A cryptside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Michael Morton. Visitation will follow at the cryptside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Children's Home, PO Box 339, Duncan, SC 29334-0339; or Cresent Hospice, 209A Riverside Court, Greer, SC 29650.
