Mrs. Betty Jean Connor, 94, of Spartanburg, South Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 19, 2025. She gently transitioned to her Heavenly home while in the presence of her family at her residence.
Mrs. Betty was born in Gaffney, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Lora Jolley and the late Cynthia Gardner Jolley. She was also preceded in death by her late husband and the love of her life: Curtis Levi Connor, Jr; a son: Ronnie Lee Connor; four brothers: Clyde, Joe, Bob, and Odus Jolley; eight sisters: Maybelle Garner, Eleanor Robinson, Nettie Humphries, and Estelle, Mildred, Lucille, Louise, Mary Sue Jolly; and a son-in-law: Jimmy Rhinehart.
Mrs. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a lady of great faith and a member of Cannons Camp Gound United Methodist Church. She was very active with Grandparents Work Force and the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Ladies Auxillary. She was also a past co-owner of Connor’s Body Shop. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Mrs. Betty’s memories are her children: Gail Varner (Nathan), Elaine Rhinehart, Susan Garrett, and Tim Connor (Cheryl). Twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
A graveside service to honor Mrs. Betty Jean Connor’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Miriam Mick and Reverend Cathy Mitchell will officiate the service.
Mrs. Betty’s memories will continue to live in the hearts of her family and others who knew her.
