Barbara Doyle

Barbara Nell Brinegar Doyle, 78, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 15, 1930, in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Grace Virginia Stevens Brinegar and the wife of 58 years to the late Robert Ray Doyle. She was an insurance agent with Correll Willis Smith and Associates for 18 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member of the Melvin Parker Sunday School Class and served on the Lord's Supper committee. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Shell and her husband Horace of Boiling Springs, and Janice A. Doyle of Columbia; and a brother, Frank E. Brinegar of Baton Rouge, LA. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Ross. Visitation will be 11:00-12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Melvin Parker and the Rev. Bill Adams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
