Arturo Alfonso Martinez passed away on February 21, 2026, at his home. He was born in Laredo, Texas, to Juan Martinez and Mary Perez Ziegler.

Arturo worked for many years at Sam’s Club, where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee. He was a good friend to many, a loving father to Alexia Martinez. Arturo loved racing and was a passionate NASCAR fan. Arturo also enjoyed collecting movie memorabilia, especially Godzilla statues. He attended Spartanburg High School.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Worley Martinez; his loving daughter, Alexia Martinez; his mother, Mary Ziegler and stepfather, Arthur Ziegler; his sisters: Jessice Johnson and Irma Reissener; his brothers: Juan Martinez and Eduardo Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews, along with many friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will greet friends Friday, March 6, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
