Allen Eugene Long

Reverend Allen Eugene Long, of Pacolet, SC, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, October 27, 2023. Allen was born to Ray and Mae Long on July 22, 1933, in Fidelity, KY.

Rev. Long is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean B. Long, four children, Terri Long, David Long, Joy (Mark) Hargreaves and Suzanne Mauldin. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Steven Mauldin, Teri (Rangel) Antonio and Ashton (Danny) Milleman; six great-grandchildren, Tristen, Mauldin, Olivia Antonio, Isabela Antonio, Wesley Antonio, Jordyn Antonio and Ava Milleman.

Rev. Long was a United Methodist minister and served churches in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina from 1955 until his retirement in 1998. He also served as President, Board of Trustees of Pine Mountain Settlement School 2007-2014.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday. November 1st, 2023. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Pine Mountain Settlement School, 36 Highway 510, Bledsoe, KY 40810, or The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741, .
