Alicia Jiminez passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at her son’s home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in The Bronx, she was the daughter of Lucas Jiminez and Francisca Montalvo.
Alicia dedicated many years of service to Giorgio Mushroom Co. until her retirement. She was known as a loving and caring woman who served as the rock of her family. Family meant everything to her, especially being one of ten children.
Alicia enjoyed playing handball and was exceptionally talented, winning several tournaments throughout the years. At the age of 18, she moved to Reading, Pennsylvania, where she later had her son. Following her retirement, she relocated to Kings Mountain, North Carolina to be closer to family.
Alicia is survived by her son, Damien Morales (Courtney) of Spartanburg, SC and her daughter, Maria Jasmin Cortez of Kings Mountain, NC; five grandchildren: Alexander Morales, Dominick Morales, Alicia Morales, Aiden Markley and Aria Markley. She leaves behind numerous family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory.
A Celebration of Life service for Alicia will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary - Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM at the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
