Albert Norman Knight

Albert Norman Knight, 81, of Gaffney, passed away on Thursday evening, February 8, 2024, at his residence. Norman was born on August 30, 1942, in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late Rachel Margaret Durham Knight and James Albert Knight. He was the beloved husband of the late Bobbie Rape Knight. 

Norman retired from Phoenix Finishing and he worked numerous jobs following his retirement. He graduated from Mars Hill College where he played football and golf and attended Greenville Technical College. Norman had formerly attended Draytonville Baptist Church. 

Surviving are his daughter, Tracy Y. Knight of Cowpens; his son, Charles A. Knight of Gaffney, SC; his 4 grandchildren, Veronica Shippy (Jamaal Smith), J.B. Shippy; Michael Shippy (Chelsea Williams) and Joshua Porter; his 6 great-grandchildren, Za’Riah, Peyton, Iana, Isaiah, Josiah and Kaylynne; and his devoted and loyal canine companion, “BB”. Norman was also predeceased by his two brothers, Rudy and Douglas Knight. 

No services will be held at this time.
